FacePAD & Google Chrome

Greetings,

I’ve spent some time researching on how to port FacePAD to Chrome. After contacting the Developers Forums over at the Chromium Project, I was told that developers are not yet allowed to edit the context-menu (e.g. right-click menu) via extensions. Until this feature is unlocked/created for developers, I will not be able to port FacePAD to chrome.

Thanks for all of the emails/comments/suggestions in regards to this!

Facebook Layout Change DOES NOT affect FacePAD Functionality

Greetings,

This is to let you know that the massive Facebook layout change that was rolled out this afternoon DOES NOT affect the functionality of the FacePAD Firefox extension.

Have a great day!

New Venture for Lazyrussian

Greetings,

Since I am a physicist (more so than a programmer these days), I decided to start a “Modern Physics Discoveries for Laymen” blog with my fellow graduate students and friends. The result, The Isospin Blog (www.isosp.in).

The Isospin Blog was created to raise public awareness of the fascinating world of theoretical and experimental physics. We plan on achieving our goal by summarizing recently published papers in a clear, concise and comprehensible manner.

Thanks for checking it out!

Greetings!

On the evening of January 27th, FacePAD was published in PC World Magazine with all positive reviews. It was then re-purposed for the Washington Post newspaper and a slew of others. I just thought I’d share the news with all the FacePAD users!

December 28, 2009 Arthur Sabintsev Leave a comment

Greetings,

I finally got around to adding new language support to FacePAD. Also, a minor memory leak was fixed (noticed and suggested by avid FacePAD user, Alexander Yip). Release notes are below:

Version 0.6.2 (December 28, 2009)
1. Fixed minor memory leak (Thanks to Alex Yip for helping!)
2. Now compatible with the French language (France)
3. Now compatible with the Russian language
4. Now compatible with the Polish language
5. Now compatible with the Chinese language (Simplified, Taiwan, Hong Kong)
6. Now compatible with the Japanese language
7. Now compatible with the Hebrew language

Since v0.6.0, FacePAD has supported German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and Canadian French.

I should note that I also tried adding language support for Romanian, Latvian, Portuguese and Arabic, but my efforts have proven to fruitless thus far. It’s probably some stupid mistake I’m not seeing, but as soon as I find it, I’ll make an update.

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
